Au Ordinance to amend the Tramway Ordinance,

1902.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Tramway Short title Amendment Ordinance, 1909, and it shall be roud and and con. construed as one with the Ordinance No. 10 of 1902 in. struction, -tituled “An Ordinance for authorizing the Construction of a Tramway within the Colony of Hongkong”, herein- after called the Principal Ordinance.

2. Section 1 of the Principal Ordinance is hereby Amends amended by substituting the figure 2 for the figure 1 at the section 1 of end thereof.

Memorandum,

The object of the Bill is to supply au accidental omis- sion from section 21 of the Tramway Ordinance, 1901, of the words "telephonic or electric" after the word "tole- graphic" in the seventeenth line of the section; and to make further and better provision for the settlement of differences between the Transway Company and any Government Department.
